Volunteers Wanted!!! The RPEA 39th Annual Meeting will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Marriott Hotel in Colonie. Volunteers will be needed to make the meeting run smoothly.

Nonie Johnson who has coordinated the Adopt a Needy Senior Project for the past ten years annouched she will be leaving the program in May 2009, once the spring baskets have been distributed.  We are looking for people who might like to take over the project.  Anyone interested in this position should apply now, so they can be involved with the winter 2008 Holiday gifts and the spring 2009 basket distribution.  Send your name, address and phone number to: Nonie Johnson, 105 Bayberry Lane, Cohoes, NY 12047.

Chapter Events

The Annual Holiday Party has been scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2008.  DJ Famous Sal Cannavo will provide the music entertainment.  The cost to attend the party is $14.00/person and includes your choice of Chicken Parm, Baked Scrod, or Roast Sliced Sirloin of Beef.  For more information please contact Myrtle Major at 518-399-0493.

Trip-Celebrate the Holidats with RPEA friends at the beautiful Williams Inn, Williamstown MA.  Be greeted by Beefeater guards as they light the traditional Yule Log and lead the Cook's presentation to an outstanding buffet.  We will also visit the Clarke Institute and be entertained by Miss B. Haven Cabaret Troupe singing and swinging to Holiday tunes puls hits from the 30's, 40's and 50's.  To top off the afternoon we will share a cup of hot wassail and give a toast of "good luck, good health and good cheer" to all our friends.  The cost to attend this trip is $59.00/person.  For more information please contact Nonie Johnson at 518-237-3510.
