News and Notes

The Florida Central Chapter recently presented 52 Pre-Paid Telephone cards to the Veteran's Hospial in Gainesville.  The cards will be distributed to needy veterans to help them stay in touch with their families.  Nancy Baker, Chief of Volunteer Services at the Gainesville Veterans Hospital accepted the card. The Chapter is looking for volunteers to help with our Chapter. We need an editor, publicity person and a 50/50 person. We are working with a skeleton crew and it makes it hard for all of us involved. You only have to attend a few Board Meetings and two Membership Meetings. If you would like to come forward to make the job eas-ier for all involved please contact Chapter Chair Cynthia Beauchamp at 352-750-5259.
